Softly experimental guitars stewed in damp, sluggish synth. A late night blanket of science fiction: oppressive and confining without being overtly dark. Though all tracks want for diversity and coherent development, even for the genre, this is all good ambient experimental. Low to very low energy, but still well above drone levels.|
FCC Clean (all inst.,) Picks: None stand out much, but I enjoyed 2 and 5 most.

1) 12:11 - Opens like as the Echoes intro and the guitar holds the thought while the more opaque synths move on to B-film organ schlep and alien abductions. Fades in, cold stop.
*2) 11:42 - On from Pink Floyd to Bowie's Sense of Doubt and Moss Garden. A tonally brighter piece, with hammered and rubbed strings, tinkling percussion, and angelic choral nonsense. Dark pedal keeps things from getting too cheery and bolsters the Bowie likeness. Cold start, chimes out.
3) 5:28 - A dusty Western flick that slowly gives way to soft, go-nowhere key and sax noodling. Cold start folksy guitar, goes straight into next track.
4) 5:39 - More electronic, with a strong synth rock bass intro moving into sci-fi synth tubes. Abrupt break at mid point followed by more synth tubes and bird sounds. Cold start (from last track,) 15-sec out.
*5) 15:23 - A cold, starry night of cosmic swirls accompanied by alarm clocks and pulsing guitar/synth, all slowly morphing into a forest of horns and increasingly piercing shafts of light. A dose of Close Encounters jumps in briefly at the midpoint, then back to fuzzy soft nature, with acoustic guitar and whooping pads completing the picture at 2/3rds. Slow in, 4-sec out.
