CADAVER IN DRAG - "Raw Child" CD (Animal Disguise) Somewhere between doom metal, heavy psych, and noise rock. 3 tracks, 37 minutes of repetitive slow pummeling. The 3 tracks each have a very different sound. I hear a little bit of EYEHATEGOD, HALO OF FLIES, and GRAVES AT SEA. Not all of this is exactly heavy or noisy, for example check out the beginning of track 3. **1. Slow doom that goes on for nearly 19 minutes. The track never speeds up, is repetitive in a great way and there are some noisy psychedelic moments. **2. Faster chaotic noise rock that reminds me of HALO OF FLIES. It's a bit lofi and definitely bordering on out of control. Vocalist screams, bass and drums keep moving and the guitar makes lots of noise. 3. Feedback drone that's almost pretty. They keep adding instruments and sounds. At first organ, then bass and then drums. A very interesting sound with most of the band playing slow doom but the organ being prominent and the guitar noisy and psychedelic. Great stuff. -mph | ||
