Jazzy Hip-Hop. Boston MC, Insight, and Washington D.C. DJ and producer, Damu the Fudgemunk, come together to form Y Society, a socially and hip-hop conscious duo. Plenty of jazzy, smooth, and brassy beats fuse easily with smooth rhymes and some good scratching. The album is immediately accessible, but has definite layers to it, and pays homage to both older hip-hop groups such as The Roots and Jurassic Five, and the new emerging hip-hop sound that’s coming from all over this country and others.
