Cool and feisty Latin jazz and tangos from noted Argentinian singer/pianist/composer Juan Carlos Caceres. It’s sharp and sophisticated, extremely well played and with some delicious vocals as well with a husky, lived-in male voice. One star each track.

1. Upbeat and driving w/great work from all.
2. Mostly midtempo with some great solos, especially the piano/sax.
3. Slow, dark, melancholy and atmospheric.
4. Piano, bandoneon, perc, a hip and sexy tango. Mid/up instrumental.
5. Spoken vocals in a rich, jazzy tango. Very cool.
6. Gentle piano/sax a late night jazz club sound.
7. Playful tango with cool solos, in praise of Argentina.
8. Straight up jazz w/great piano/perc. Mid/upbeat.
9. Upbeat modern tango w/solid work from all.
10. Dreamy and romantic w/soaring vocals, cool sax.
11. Doorbell, spoken word, then piano/bandoneon a fun mid tango.
12. Solo piano version of #5. Expertly played with style & restraint.
13. Recorded live, solo piano, vocals in a tango.
14. Also live. Mid/up jazz w/vocals & good energy.
15. Remixed spacey electronica version of #3.
