Fuzzed-out rock with meanderings into punk, psychedelia & pop. A varied album – first in 11 years from this group (Kim Gordon, Julie Cafritz, Yoshimi). Lots of sonic parallels to KG’s other projects. J.Mascis leaves his mark on a few of these. Try 2, 4, 9, 10. FCC: 9.

)Solid, Straightforward, & Sonic Youthy. Upbeat riff & vocal repetition.
)Guitar wash glory (a la Mascis). Great stuff.
)Rather plain. Nice girly-vox by Julie Cafritz, but otherwise not all that interesting.
)Unhurried rhythm, quiet & sparse.
)Short lo-fi pop tune – nice.
)Urgent rock/punk
)Psychedelic guitar work, heavy drums. Recording ends ~ 10 seconds early.
)Rather formless, quiet texture.
)(FCC “bitch”) Fun, energetic. A bit of grrrl in this one.
)Sparse drums & guitar feedback noisescape. Fantastic vox about on-stage guitar lust.
)KG dreamy vocals over psych guitar twirling; peaks ~ 3:20 and then falls.
