Mr. Loveless - Two Words EP

Mr. Loveless is a local indie rock/post-punk revival band from Walnut Creek/Berkeley/San Francisco. They have a pretty raw sound and sound surf rock-ish at times. Songs are great fodder for angry emo teenagers. The lead singer's voice is grating but I guess it gives them more character.

FCC on 3 (fuck up)

1. (4:02) Starts slow and lethargic but builds up. Angsty song that I probably would have liked in high school when no one understood me. Ending is shoegazey.
2. (4:29) ** Mid/fast paced song. Catchy melody and nice bridge. Probably most radio friendly song.
3. (4:20) **--FCC (fuck)-- Fuzzy guitar intro with half talking/whispering vocals. Alternates between louder parts and a sound characteristic of the beginning. Screaming on this one. Fake ending at around 2:50 when it adopts a cheerier tone.
4. (5:36) *** Slow song with really faint downbeat melodies and sustained chords. Gets slighter louder in the middle with some screaming. Ends with like 10 seconds of silence.
