Awesome, instrumental, proggy, “post-rock” from Greensboro, NC. In the realm of Pelican, Scenic, the drifty parts of Pink Floyd & late 70’s era Rush. Overall, very well played, rather good all the way through. (Pronounced: “Eye rah tah”)
((((1)))) Nicely paced, moves in an anaticipitory direction, lots of good guitar/bass parts with a some sax accenting everything.
((((2)))) More psych with elongated twangy guitars that has that “desert journey” feeling to it.
((((3)))) Trippy, space rock into pretty heavy jams that often sounds Rush and Pelican in different places.
((((4)))) Bassy, shimmering & slide guitar, very soundtrack-like but gets kinda heavy near the end.
((((5)))) “Ethno-folk” intro, slow, surfy build up into big burly riffs then prog vs. “ethno-folk”
(((((6))))) Bassy, slow, sax and more guitar slide, then at 2:14-2:42 AND 4:11-4:28 it’s “Xanadu” by Rush!
(((((7))))) Super bassy & dense, lotsa wah-wah, and rockin’ grooves. Tons of good guitar parts – taking pieces and parts of classic rock but making those pieces sound fresh and innovative.
((((8)))) More big-ass bass sound and heavy psych guitar – that plays that one “Whooooaaa dood!” chord. Has an odd-metred, kinda Middle Eastern structure, then throws in some tabla,
((((9)))) Pretty chilled out, laid back jam.
(((((10))))) Back to rockin’ out in a modern “Interstellar Overdrive” fashion.
