Solo artist who gave this CD to me/KZSU after I saw him perform at Terrastock last June (’08). The first two tracks are lovely dreamy washes of echoey guitar, Acid Mothers and My Bloody Valentine come to mind. The third is more experimental collage, but still maintains a certain beautiful drone and pleasure. And the fourth borders on Harold Budd/Brian Eno narcotic ambience. Fantastic stuff!! All tracks.
1) echoey dreamy guitar, just as lush and wonderful as it gets, as close to an ideal mushroom trip in a sunlit warm meadow as you will ever get (without the shrooms and the meadow)
2) fuzzier drone of echoed guitars, still very dreamlike, mellows toward the end
3) experimental collage, loops of tones and sounds that grow dense yet not offensive, loud but quiet
4) slow piano chords with synth that arises, very Eno’esque, pure ambient prettiness
