Album Review
Reviewed 2008-09-02
Excellent stoner/southern rock from Athens, Greece, out of all places. There might be no desert in Greece, but this trio sound like they came straight out of a "generator party" organized by Kyuss. Excellent guitar riffing, featuring some pretty neat use of the wah wah, as well as a very solid rhythm section to back it up (I once jammed a little bit with their drummer and he is a very talented and hard working musician). On top of all of this are the amazing vocals: Babis lets out a bellow which is what Lemmy would probably sound like if he was from Athens. Needless to say it kind of makes me wish Motorhead were Greek. For fans of Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu, Black Sabbath, Motorhead.

Picks: 8,2,10,4 *** FCC: track 2 ***

1. energetic, cool guitar riff, Kyuss sounding opener
*2. FCC (shit at the beginning, very faint) faster, good use of wah-wah
3. heavy, sabbath sounding
*4. slow, ominous buildup leads to bellowing cacophony, great!
5. starts fast, gets bluesy towards the end
6. slower, emphasis on bass
7. another one with rhythmic alternations
*8. starts slow and bluesy, gets noisy midway, but still stays bluesy, faster towards the end, great!
9. a bit like track 7
*10. great stoner blues jam! hidden bonus track at end, DJS MIND THE GAP, ENDS @ -5:00
