Pop in the way that Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine make it: dissonant guitars, slow dreamy beats with male/female textures. Dream pop, yes. But a great tinge of twangy darkness a la the recent Earth releases. Guitar bass and drums and vocs. The simplest recipe for the tastiest cookies (right? Doesn’t it suck when someone adds coconut or uses whole wheat flour to the tollhouse recipe sometimes?). Not sure there’s a simple straight guitar chord in the whole mess. Great stuff for fans of strange guitar tunings or chords that leave your left hand aching.

1) slight twang, like recent Earth releases, to start but gets into a lush swaying dream rock with male vocs
2) female vocs to start and then a killer narco-tribal-beat and overall dream pop feel. This is really good, five years from now people ignoring the a-file will be scrambling to be the first to play this band
3) upbeat and poppy
4) a slow narcotic relaxing near-jam, pretty, but almost a segue into the next track seems to pull the stops
5) now a slow narco beat, with some drones and low end guitar
6) a dischordant guitar pop song that sways along nicely
7) another swaying heavy dream pop feel with some layered vocal harmonies that inject a beatles dose, good stuff that reminds you that a good pleasant song can taste good
8) mid slow dreamy overture
9) distant female vocals, simple guitar, beat
10) slow almost psychey, dark and minor and doomy
