Stoner rock, but not of the Kyuss variety... What these guys rather are, is a revival of 70s style bluesy, fuzzy, garagey, echoey hard rock. Think of bands like Blue Cheer, early Deep Purple, Cream, Sabbath, Dead Meadow, etc... Very tight rhythm section (a bit a la Can) and an extremely fluid lead guitar. Sure maybe a bit derivative, but also very very entertaining.

Picks: 5,1,3,7 *** No FCCs detected ***

*1. proto-metal stoney riffage
2. swaggering rock-out, deep purple
*3. bluesy, slower tempo, laid back, gets faster in last couple of minutes
4. very Hendrix-sounding guitar with a lot of fuzz at the end
**5. stone solid, psyche-drenched, Can-like groove
6. about 1:30 of droney intro into a fluid, spacey groove
*7. marching drum intro, slower, almost spaghetti-western like guitar, lots of reverb in the vocals
8. driving bass rhythm, picks up towards the end
9. starts slow and bluesy and gets faster later on
