Sentieri Selvaggi - Plays Gavin Bryars & Philip Glass.
Italian chamber music group playing two minimalist pieces, first by Bryars, second by Glass. Mild, even-tempered stuff;
1: Bryars. Based on a Bill Frisell guitar solo, apparently (slowed down a lot). Repetetive piano with some pleasant swells, bowed vibes; mildly elusive melody. Nice harmonies; sweet but with a bit of dissonance.
2: Glass. Dark strings (originally from Koyaanisqatsi), warm flute, in the Glassy hypnotic repetetive unit style. The rhythm gives it a vaguely Indian feel to me. Gets more interesting about halfway through when the clarinet joins the flute.
