Alt.country, no depression stuff with crystalline male vocs like Paul Simon and Howe Gelb in a blender. Great instrumentation, recording, lyrics, a real tip of the hat to classic Nashville and solemn songwriting. Lap/Pedal steel guitar galore, piano, some gospel layered vocals, the whole nine yards.
