Contemporary prog jazz-rock from an artist who had had his heyday 30 years ago but has continued producing ever since. Nothing jaded, in fact some of the ripest guitarists you’ll ever hear play with him along with pure and fine violin. Great, if old school that smacks of the best 70’s stuff you’ll ever hear. For fans of Jean Luc Ponty, a cleaner Soft Machine, Henry Cow, even Zappa.
1) intense to the point to start with violin lead at first, brass and other high faluten stuff follows as well as ripen tenor sax like you wouldn’t believe
2) long track: first half: very melodic switches between Joan Luc Ponty styled violin and intense conglomerations of them as the track goes. Very intense and almost loud, dissonant and crazy: second half rides the crazy intense prog domination
3) a very mellow jazz intro that last for 4+ minutes, after ~5 minutes a donminating for enters and the track retains a certain mellowness but still is loud and multitimed
4) very prog, lots of disjunct melodies that fall back into regular melodic jams, very musical and radio perfect
