Obvious comparisons to old Cure (Faith/Pornography era), Cocteau Twins, Bauhaus, Joy Division. I could almost end right there. Three piece. Dark, gothy 80’s dark sub-art-punk. Almost a Cure cover band. In other words, great stuff because that was/is a great genre. Play with aforementioned bands, especially our vinyl copies of Pornography and Bauhaus’ “the sky went out”.

1) quiet start then a midpaced tom tom heavy piece with a simple piano melody/hook
2) quitessential dark mellow
3) upbeat with a somewhat fuzzy synth in front
4) another mellower one
5) a driving more urgent art-punk feel with dark ending
6) echoey creepy voice and a fuzzy droney soundbed to piano
7) very Cure in the vocal delivery, cant deny it, big drum sound
8) tribal and upbeat, driving
9) slow and dark (surprise!), church organ dominates, long trippy out-tro
