Dead Heart Bloom “In Chains” Singer-songwriter Americana rock loaded with folksy vox, acoustic guitar, subdued percussion & some string work. Has moments of trippy & nearly freaky folk. But, take the title “In Chains” as a tip off – although somewhat hopeful, this album never bubbles over with energy. The songs are reserved yet confident in their simple rock elements. Try 3,4 to sample the album’s unique flavor NO FCCS

1) be patient! Starts with an endless loop of acoustic guitar strums & close, soft vocals; eventually discovers some banjo jangles, shake n bake percussion & harmonies
2) * slow it down now! Soulful lyrics of love, plucking acoustic guitar; lovely
3) **some freak folk vox, nice harmonizing; kookiest track of the EP! Fades out w/ 15s
4) **western twang starts the song, fuzzy high-pitch vox makes it a bit trippy; like a prison march of yore as thick-voiced men oooh ayyy ohhh together in the chorus
5) *raspy Tom Waits vocals lament over strings; lullaby of sorts LOVELY!!!
