Really interesting semi-supergroup performing two long tracks (24 and 22 minutes) at NYC's Village Vanguard. It's straightforward jazz but with knowledge of freer, modal forms. The soloing gets nicely intense later on, as you'd expect, and there's a nice exploratory feel and structure throughout. An overlooked gem, with some recognizable names in the band.
