Local (SF) one-man black metal, lo-fi noise disturber. Bleak as fukk and unrelentingly repetitive (but often in a good way). Regardless of the “bedroom Black Metal" epithet this does set out to create a fairly wicked atmosphere. Despite the occasional “sameyness” with the drum machine there are enough layers to this to keep it interesting and even original. Not far from Gnaw Their Tongues and other weirdos in the Black Metal milieu.
((((1)))) Ambient piano, then cyclical "bees in a jar” black metal with evil vocals roaring from the caverns of hell.
((((2))))) Distortion & fluttering drum machine. Vocals blend in as another instrument but the drum machine has an odd almost techno patter to it. Weird but good.
(((3))) Distorted noise crunch and super distorted vocals. Like Leviathan on bad crack.
(((((4))))) Awesome martial industrial meets doom intro more evil howlin' from the basement vocals.
((((5)))) Acoustic intro, whispering cryptic winds then blasting layers of lo-fi distorted BM and super repetitive drum beat and sorta spooky keyboards. Take in small doses.
((((((6)))))) Super distorted and DOOMED BM! Very claustrophobic & eerie until it becomes like a locked groove (@ 2:10-2:40).
((((7)))) Airy guitar buzz & cyclical tempo, probably needs to nix the metronome beat but otherwise a fine tune with more fuzz & buzz than the average Aquarius Black Metal review.
((((((8)))))) Proper lo-fi Black Metal, howling vocals from the pits of Helvete and droning & often piercing guitar tone.
((((((9)))))) Dark ambient & noise mix with splats of guitar & distortion the come in late. Comes off like Benighted Leams & Leviathan jammin’ with Chrome. Weird but pays off big time.
