Phenomenal mix of shoegaze, Indie Pop & Black Metal (!?!). Lots of female vocals & other times harsh male vocals. Also, plenty of very melancholic, warm minor chords not far from My Bloody Valentine, The Cure & Lush crossed with a flair for contemporary BM/dark metal bands like Agalloch & Beyond Dawn. Much of the themes deal with the isolation & depression of the urban environments. Features members of like-minded French Black Metal bands such as Alcest and Peste Noire. (The former being the similar to MBV with tremolo riffs & the other being weird-ass punky Black Metal). Hugely recommended!
(((((1))))) Blazing fast Black Metal instrumental.
((((((2)))))) Simple beat with a uppity mix of Lush/MBV style guitars and poppy female vocals sung in French & fairly complex beats.
((((((3)))))) Fast BM with soaring atmosphere and clanging drums. Slightly distorted but (again) rather poppy female vocals. Plus, a great punk-like transition at 1:22.
((((((4)))))) Very nice melancholic, shoegaze-ish playing with very raw BM vocals.. Strange but good contrasts of extremes. A strong influence from Agalloch & Burzum.
(((((5)))))) Totally strummy & sad sounding indie rock/pop with rolling bass and “snappy” drumming.
Easily could’ve been on the 4AD label 20 years ago.
(((((6))))) Minimal piano interlude, kind of out of place but still very nice sounding.
((((((7)))))) Rough, heavy & kick-ass Black Metal en francias. Ends with a bunch of distorted noise.
((((((8)))))) Straight up indie pop melacholly. Slow tempo with a bit of that common but still nice soaring feeling.
((((9)))) Straight up sullen indie strummy shoegazer rock with catchy female vocals. @ 3:20 BAM! Black Metal riffs/punk tempos, insane female howling & whispered vocals. Weird but it totally works.
(((((10))))) 1-2 beat/guitar note with some off-kilter 80’s gothic meets modern post-rock thing.
(((((11))))) Nice warm guitars with depressive, harsh black metal vocals melding into a weirdly chaotic but oddly melodic & speedy number.
