Female vocal’ed compositions, lush pop slant but with very good guitar effects/treatments and arrangements (strings, flugel horn type stuff), but certainly not to fall into the the precious “chamber pop” realm. Well played guitars, lots of piano in front, pretty girl vocals just very slightly breathy, and in places dissonance and strangeness, just a dash for spice. Just really good, if pleasant and pleasing, songs. “Songs”: remember those? Cue up the first few seconds, give a listen and pick any really.
1) bent intro with female pretty vocals but bent tones, then lets go into a “normal” pop feeling song with piano in front, then at least a one min outro of the same bent twisted tones, cool!
2) pleasant mid paced with arrangements (strings, flugel)
3) simpler, mid paced, nothing dissonant, everything pretty
4) somber pretty, mostly just just guitar and voice and very tasteful effects/treatments for first 4 minutes then drums enter and it resolves
5) something epic about this, just good
6) simple feel despite how lush it is, arpeggio guitar and simple piano chords and strings
7) Instrumental, soundtracky, different korg/harpsichord tone in the melody, lush arrangements, careful: ends with a good 10 seconds left of mostly silence
8) heres more of the bent dissonance I mentioned, a slower almost ambient instrumental, cool if brief
