Cute little jangle pop EP from a bunch of Canadians who probably wish they were British. Happy, but not overly power-poppy. Let’s say “pleasant”. Classic Stone Roses guitar runs. (Most of the guitar on this record is not strummed.) Sounds like... the Go-Betweens. Really! Fans of Bishop Allen, Apples in Stereo, B&S, even the Magnetic Fields will appreciate this. Vocals a la B&S or the Smiths. Is that enough cross-reference? I hope so.

try: 1, 2

*1. catchy upbeat jangle pop w/corroborating rudder guitar and keys. mellow, dampered vocals.
*2. mid fast. busy, shimmery, smiths-y guitar runs. happy brass. somewhat repetitive chord-climbing chorus.
3. bright guitar & low harmonies. lazy, noon nap sound. also dangerously approaches “country porch song” territory. it’s the vocals, i think.
4. kicks off w/solo electric riff. mellow & soothing melody. loads of pretty interlocking guitar. chorus has a simon & garfunkel vibe.
