4 wildly long pieces of cascading electronics and percussion from this long-running Japanese band known for being predictably unpredictable. Some of this comes across a little like a more tolerable hippie-sh drum circle if it was say influenced by Gong & bit of space disco weirdness instead of the most tepid “world music” or whatever Santa Cruz-isms have been attached to such sounds. In all 4 pretty interesting versions of the original none of which sound too similar.
(((1))) Loopy, bouncy beats, kinda drum-circle-y but a bit better and doesn’t smell of patchouli or skunky weed.,
((((2)))) More modern yet also early techno vibe with
driving cascading electronics and “ep, ep, eeeeh” sounds.
(((3))) Overlapping electronics and swooshy ambient, down-tempo, 70’s space-disco mix. Interesting albeit very silly. Remixed by Lindstrøm who’s rather big in Norge.
(((4))) Spindling electronics that somehow clips part of Genesis’ “Man on the Corner” then lays a bunch of steady-mid paced groove & boxy beats on top. Nothing dub-like, save the vocal sections.
