Peace Is Boring

Crazy “outsider rock” artist from Denver discovered by jack-of-all creepy, Boyd Rice. Songs jumping around from spastic rock to to country to new wave with a helium-high voice ‘ala Narduwar the Human Serviette & an attitude like Zappa and Boyd Rice himself. Fun stuff. An acquired taste but certainly for those of ‘ya into Zappa’s silliest stuff, Crispin Glover, Sparks and Happy Flowers. [Pronounced “Fee-dor”]

((((1)))) Dark, Halloween-ish gothic-rock (parody?) take on the Joni Mitchell tune.
((((2)))) Silly but amusing circus-y, totally mental rock. “Condelezza Riiiice-that wuz a mistake!”

((((3)))) Very basic and fun, kooky new wave-y, sora fast guitar & keyboards.
(((((4))))) Spastic love/hate relationship with spiders with a bunch of bass & keyboard bombast.
(((5))) Sounds like a cover of both the Brady Bunch tune done by Tammy Faye & Jim Bakker. Deee-mented & annoying but still amusing!
((((6)))) Wacky new wave tune that doesn’t er, “love thy neighbor”.
((((7)))) Loose chords with breathy vocals and funny lyrics. Very similar to Zappa with the random bits of synclavier-like organ (or is that glockenspiel?).
((8)) Goofy repetitive jazzy tune with the chorus sung a zillion & ½ times.
(((9))) (FCC “Fucked up” sung 3x in chorus) Weird-ass female vocals again similar to Tammy Faye with odd ball country chords. Some funny lyrics. Works best with lots of alcohol.
((((((10)))))) Hilarious nihilistic & dark new wave. Awesome!
((((11))) Slow and interesting lyrics with short 1-2 notes puntucated by the vocals.
(((12))) Weirdest version (next to Crispin Glover’s) of “These Boots Are Made for Walking” – country-new wave-surf?
((((13)))) Spastic, sloppy but fun punk-y rock.
