) Long running Indie Rock & Folk straight from the heart, very little in the way of boring wallpaper sounds here. Lou Barlow's (also of Sebadoh, Folk Implosion, Sendridoh, Dino Jr. and fast-core pioneers, Deep Wound) been at this a long ass time. Barlow makes a bunch of memorable folk & pop tunes that more than often don’t wear out their welcome. Granted they’d probably use some of this in a horrendous montage from a vomit-inducing “rom-com” with Michael Cera.

(((((1))))) Boomin’, strummy catchy as hell folksy rock.
Typical Sebadoh-ish song but damn good.
((((2)))) Strummy and vocal-centered tune.
(((((3)))) Fairly fast 1-2-1-2 acoustic chords and heartfelt vocals.
((((4)))) Simple folk weirdly similar to a uh, less bloated by time & redundancy, “Simon & Garfunkle”?
(((5))) Bright chords, even more direct and louder vocals. Possibly the best version “that one guy at the café playing acoustic” we can get?
((((6)))) Quacking, steady electronic box beat with uptempo pop-folk.
(((7))) Bare-bones strummy folk-rock. Pretty good vocals but the chords could change a few times more.
((((8)))) 60’s styled folk duet with some good, basic chords and a it of strings and electronics.
((((9)))) Big clanging beat, loose strumming, sometimes slightly distorted vocals. Pretty neat.
((10)) Sort of clumsy duet with half-ass chords.
(((11))) Mellow, simple folk with decent chords, silly lyrics “and you’ll love me like a pancake”. Pretty naff chorus though.
((((12)))) nice balance between the note and note spacing as well the vocal cadence.
(((13))) Minimal orchestrated sound then goes into a dreary chorus and clunky beat but somehow the vocals keep this afloat.
((((14)))) Very direct, basic folk tune with easy to follow lyrics. Good tune but wtf does “knowin’ that you could go like a redheaded elder” mean?
