Zoo: Hiro-Koue! FCC: Didn’t hear anything, but some of the vocals were hard to decipher. (reviewed by “Uncle Steve”)

Local band from SF. Most of the tracks can be described with the following adjectives: dissonant, lo-fi, meter changing, orchestral sounds, banjo & mandolin, occasional Asian influences, toy xylophone, some quieter phrases for contrast. The lead vocalist sounds a lot like Jack White at times.

Overall: I like lo-fi & appreciate complex dissonant music (Zappa). But I had difficulty finding much with this that just didn’t sound like random noise. Or a bad night at karaoke (with amateur musician backing).

Recommended Tracks: Try Track 2 (quiet intro, ambient sounds, least dissonant vocals, a mix of instrumental backing, still dissonant)
