Instrumental post-rock. Thought-provoking music that moves through a number of ups, downs, slower moments and explosive bashouts, while avoiding a number of the usual pitfalls of this genre (like too much screwing around). Complex Can-like percussion and mathy guitar work stand out. This Toronto quintet has been around for a while and by now they have developed a well-known formula and they are pretty damn good at it. Long tracks, perfect for a nice midnight-6am slot... This definitely makes for enjoyable listening. The few guest vocals are provided by the Lullabye Arkestra and Akron Family. For fans of Godspeed, Mono, Explosions In The Sky, Maserati, Sigur Ros, Tortoise. Good stuff.

1.Do: Starts mellow but quickly builds up in tension and volume. Motorik, Neu-style drumming and nice guitar work. A very solid opener.
**2. Make: Slow and introspective, builds up tension with bass drumming and chant-like intelligible vocals, then Godspeed-like horns, soaring guitars, and then the slow majestic cooldown... Yeah there might be too many post-rock cliches here, but this is good stuff...
**3. Say: Slow, dark start, mildly resembling Tarentel's first album or maybe the spookier moments of Eno. Then this slowly upwards swrling melody appears and then again these horns, and then this nice twangy spaghetti western style guitar... Quite grandiose, but without ever becoming ridiculous... Closes with psalm-like vocals. Beautiful
4. Think: The album's somber closer. Hypnotizing drums, twangy spaghetti western guitars, deep understated backing vocalizations... Majestic in more than one ways. Think of Labradford or Earth's latest stuff. Really really nice bedtime music.
