Krispen Hartun & Ted Kililan-“Mojo at the Dojo” No FCC Violations (reviewed by “Uncle Steve”)
Experimental music with a mostly ambient feel, recorded at an Aikido dojo. Little in the way of melody. Instrumentation limited to acoustic/electric guitar, loops, and voice (no lyrics).
Tracks: 1 (31:50) Ambient sounds, somewhat similar to traffic rushing by, with short guitar licks. Followed by tradition “computer sounds”. Harder to characterize thereafter, but with periodic crescendos & more rhythmic urgency. Ended with distant distorted electric guitar licks.
2 (11:19) Recurring low-register guitar lick, with ambient sounds & occasional 2nd guitar providing a counterpoint.
3 (7:03) Another recurring guitar lick, with very dissonant ambient sounds.
