Spunky rock you can dance to. This is former model Lissy Trullie’s debut EP. Not that I subscribe to any stereotypes about models, but this is surprisingly good. Her boyish vocals and happy hooks lead to 40 minutes of fun. Play this album if you’re looking for buoyant beats from a girl who can really rock.
1) * fast-paced, rockin’ intro/chorus 2) * interesting electric guitar, catchy chorus, sounds like Yeah Yeah Yeahs meets the Strokes 3) starts off simple with infectious drum beat and girly vocals, picks up with funky electric guitar and keyboard riffs
4) * excellent and varied drums + upbeat Strokes-esque electric guitar = fantastic track 5) slow electric guitar intro leads into feisty/saccharine punk cut 6) * great cover of Hot Chip’s ‘Ready For the Floor’, fast drums + acoustic guitar + aggressive electric guitar riffs 7) steady drum beat + funky/eclectic electric guitar bits
8) simple electric guitar notes/chords + unoriginal drums…basic prog pop piece
9) cover of Biz Markie’s ‘Just a Friend’ feat. vocals from Adam Green, upbeat acoustic guitar/electric guitar strumming on the chorus makes it a fun rendition of a classic
10) relatively slow, only primarily acoustic track with some minor electric guitar
