Singer-songwriter: dark, earthy songs that have beautiful instrumentation. Chesnutt has a terrific unpolished voice, and is quite the lyricist. Lots of great songs on here. No FCCs. Try 8, 1, 6, 5, 3 1) * Starts sparse, grows super heavy & doomy - nice vox 2) Simple, melancholy - just voice and guitar 3) * Great chorus, beautiful guitar & acoustic bass 4) Lovely, loose piano 5) * Jazzy shuffle - slow, gentle, falsetto vox 6) * Full instrumentation - driving, pensive rhythm, wailing guitar 7) Country shuffle 8) * Beautiful love song for death.
