Carey rocks on trumpet and flugelhorn, displaying a crisp technique and warm musicality. All (except for #5) are original compositions, and they showcase his sharp style and the tightness of his band, all of whom get a chance to shine through ample solos.

*1. Mid/upbeat groove w/a warm energy & sophisticated style.
2. Relaxed at first, then twisting & dreamy. Extended bass solo.
3. Lushly nostalgic and romantic quiet solos add extra dreaminess.
*4. Brightly punctuated w/horns at counterpoint. Then liquid & fluid.
*5. Upbeat and light w/a sophisticated energy & tight groove.
*6. Warm trumpet solo leads into a nicely swinging romp.
7. Slow and gentle, then light trills and a dreamy landscape.
*8. Hip upbeat groove w/great keyboards & horns. So cool.
9. Upbeat, tripping, bright. W/punctuated energy throughout.
