You may be familiar with Celtic ensemble The Irish Experience from their more recent release, Green Energy. This is their original, self-titled release and it follows more traditional lines of Celtic instrumentalism. Combine some wicked awesome track titles (“Pipe on the Hob / Hag at the Churn”) with some expert playing and you have a superb feast of Celtic joy. All tracks are instrumental.

1. Mid-tempo round. Picks up at 1:38 into some fast fiddling.
2. Mid-fast tempo with a more evident beat. Stomp yer feet!
3. Upbeat, “grumblin and growlin” but still light and carefree.
4. Slow, sad start. Picks up at 0:55 for a mid-slow ditty.
*5. Upbeat and fun as hell. This’ll get you dancing.
6. Slow/peaceful until 2:05, then changes completely. Bassline kicks into a catchy melody. Very soft ending.
*7. More upbeat awesomeness. A catchy jig that goes crazy at 2:12.
*8. Up-mid medley of three parts. A very pleasant, catchy, foot-stomping track that would go over well in a pub.
9. Mid-tempo with some really nice playing. Cuts off at -0:07.
10. Up-mid with a nice (albeit repetitive) melody.
11. Dark and brooding with a sad melody that gradually brightens before going nuts at 2:42.
