Peter Karp & Sue Foley “He Said, She Said” (Blind Pig, 2010) Reviewed by Abu Ramses – All Tracks FCC CLEAN Singer/songwriters Peter Karp and Sue Foley sing duets and solos. Great lyrics, which can actually be understood, based on an intimate correspondence between them while touring on the road apart. Foley brings a background as a blues guitarist. An eclectic style combining American roots, folk, blues, love ballads, & rock. A fine album! Try tracks 1, 4, 6, 9, 10 Tracks 1. Treat Me Right 4:42 – mid-tempo duet, wailing electric guitar, shades of Bonnie Raitt 2. So Far So Fast 2:22 – Foley solo, folky, acoustic guitar 3. Wait 4:03 – Starts with rock n’roll and goes to Bob Dylanish (think “Like a Rolling Stone”). Mostly Karp. 4. Rules of Engagement 3:53 - Mid-tempo duet ballad, nice electric guitar 5.
