BODEANS -- "MR. SAD CLOWN" -- Low-key folksy lightweight reflective rock'n'roll with quality male harmonies. Well-written thought-provoking lyrics. Kind of like Bob Dylan without the rasp. This guy IS a Sad Clown! Hide the weapons.

*** 1) Stay -- Starts folky, then picks up rock'n'roll attitude. Nice male vox.
**** 2) Shine -- Somewhat somber, reflective feeing in the male vocals, with joyful undertones. Good harmony. Low-key folksy rock. Nice trumpet.
**** 3) If . . . -- Beautiful guitar. Thoughtful lyrics. Pretty and peaceful. Slow tempo. Love lament. Not quite begging!
*** 4) Say Goodbye -- Male harmonies. Rather boring, although instruments are alright.
*** 5) Don't Fall Down -- Sort a Bruce Springsteen feeing. Condescending.
***** 6) Cheesecake Pan -- Interesting lyrics. Upbeat, kind of cute tune. I like it.
** 7) Easy Love -- Quiet garage-sounding start. Rather painful.
***** 8) Today -- Slow pace, but good singing and beat. Thoughtful lyrics. Great harmony.
***** 9) Headed for the End of the World -- Cool peppy upbeat rhythm. I like it. Optimistic, in spite of the title!
*** 10) Let It Ride -- Somber . . . somewhat pessimistic answer to track #9. Picks up energy as it plods along though.
** 11) All the Blues --Sad, desperate, hopeless, lazy lyrics and mood. Self-deprecating.
** 12) Feel 'Lil Love -- Definitely sounds like Springsteen, down to the throatiness! Old-school power chord trio sound.
13) Almost Ready -- I like the instruments, but lyrics are too woeful, somber, downcast.
*** 14) Back Then -- Much happier beginning than most . . . good memories, I guess! Upbeat. Even with overall melancholy feeling of CD, this one makes it seem not so bad.
15) Gone X 3 -- Too depressing.
