dreamy shoegaze stuff. sounds a lot like lush.
a lushalike, but soundscapey.
echodrone is a san fran based quartet.
meredith gibbons(vocals, guitar)
eugene suh (guitar, vocals)
brandon dudley (bass)
mark tarlton (drums, sound engineering).
this is thier first full length.
(self-titled e.p in 2007. note: propaganda sheet quotes kzsu!)
gorgeous. *recomended tracks: 1, 3, 5, 8, 9.

*1. sweet, lushlike/lowlike. lulling.
2. quick scratching intro. lushy. poppy.
*3 backwards tape loop opening. dreamy.
my bloody valentineish. backwards middle.
spacy. galaxy explodes...ahh!
4. coldplay. poppy. jangly. heavy bass.
*5. american music clubby opening. neo-
space rock metal guitar. soaring singing.
middle is great!: sounds like a robot frog.
and now it's hopping away...
6. sounds like kylie minogue w/bar band on ludes.
7. 'drive', the cars song=cheesy. sure, your natural inclination is to play this because it's a cover. but trust me: every other song is much more deserving. this track=cheesy. fuck it. don't touch that cheese.
*8.BEST TRACK: ooo! spacey. eno.
drums kick in w/jangle. vocals like a
wave building for the crash.=lovely.
*9. BEST TRACKII: echoey guitars. spacey stereo
seperation. glass walls slide off into space...
