Think: Beatles. Abbey Road era. If you like that kind of epic pop then you will probably spill your tea scrambling for this. Piano’s, guitar, traditional feeling folksy stuff melded into epic pop. Genre, tone and tempo changes. This is exactly what came in through the bathroom window, dragging The Beach Boys, Rockateens and Bowie by the hand.
1) starts with a dream pop tone but quickly goes through stylistic changes that are quite the Beatle, but overall is upbeat and cheery, epic
2) brief, tape manipulations, cool
3) soooo Beatles’y even the drums smack of Ringo, with layered harmonized vocals, chilling almost
4) galloping, gallop gallop…
5) driving head nodding with organ playing in front, vocal rich
6) more simple with just straight vocals, a minor tone despite the bounciness
7) waltzing acoustic guit w/ tambourine, vocal rich and beautiful
8) brief spooky organ solo, horror movie matinee intermission
9) bouncy upbeat garage tone, echoey vocs and fuzzed bass give this a more psyche flare psyche, almost heavy
10) upbeat and poppy, cute
11) brief acoustic guitar, tambourine, echoey layered vocs
12) bouncy and epic, swingy folksy drinking song feel
13) more epic pop, just keeps going!
14) a bit more stripped down, but epic again, sounds like the end of the album
