Awesome mix of 80’s electronics and modern drifty instrumental rock (ok, “post-rock” if you’d like) from Seattle. Vocoder is used pretty frequently but it’s pretty minimal. The vocoder use tends to be with singular phrases sung once or repeated to blend with the rest of the music. Very easy to lose yourself in this and in the best way possible. Works very well with: M83, John Carpenter soundtracks, early 80’s videogames i.e. - Gyrus, plus Zombi & Explosions in the Sky.

(((((1)))))) Circular, synthy John Carpenter-y & very driving. Excellent song title, too.
((((2))))) Very cyclical with vocoder (not fuckin’ autotune, there’s a difference, alright!). Good drumming, shines and floats through the night. Not far from M83 circa: “Dead Cities”
((((3)))) Total 1979-81 tone & feeling. More vocoder and forward movement. Kraftwerky via Moroder electro-Italodisco-throb.
(((((((4))))))) Early 80’s Atari-style tones and layers of guitars, synths and great drumming. Blends the analog synths with drifty rock very well. Vocoder is an acquired taste but does blend in after a few bars. Love the crescendo it builds up to.
(((((((5))))))) Ambient intro, once again very driving (‘ala M83 & Zombi) layers of electronic sheen .
((((6)))) Minimal and ambient. Soft & pretty in places.
