Charming, warm, twangy, touching, lo-fi americana/alt-country/garage. Fem vox are warm, soothing, and emotive, like a less-distant/dreamy Hope Sandoval, less angst-ridden Kim Deal or a non-yawn-inducing Zooey Deschanel. Instruments are acoustic guitar, elec guitar, bass, drums. Bare, live feel to the sound.
Loved and highly recommend both sides.
side a/ my horseshoe
slow-mid, upbeat, ~3mins
very happy/cowboy/saloon. happy fem vox delivery; wistful, whimsical lyrics addressed to her love. instrumentation emphasizes acoustics. she&him could take some lessons from this.
side b/pretty pictures
mid-fast, ~ 2mins
rockin, garage feel. fem vox with more of a deep scratchy/soulful delivery. heavy elec guitar. occasional keys and m backing vox. sounds like: the breeders, pj harvey.
