wow. flip out. soul jazz, beats, dubby, brilliant interludes, swells, sexy. lotus. fat beats with the intelligent flair of john coltrane's bloodlines showing up with ravi coltrane on sax, and this madman called thundercat laying down fantastic basslines. textural mastery. killer bedroom music, futurejazz & wonkybeats & breaks & ping pong!? fantastic driving music. more of a dancefloor than chill room feeling on this album. as good as electronic music gets. infusions of mingus, trane, sun ra in the bass lines and melody lines. not a lame track. 1- bleepy bloopy bit explosipon gives way to relaced electro 2- high speed dnb flair with nasty bass samples, 3- woop woop, clickety clack, flyingsaucer beat 4- fluttering, gorgeous interlude, cosmic film music. wow. 5- sparse, breathy, morricone techno? 6- fat beat,jazzbassline 7- warbly driving electrokraut lazergroove. 5min. famous vocalist. 8- dissonant, spacy fluttering turns, into total sun ra tribute. wow. 9- femme vox, searching strings gives way to an airy clicky clack 10- soul scatting, swelling harmonies, clicky clacks, cruisin cadillac groove. wow. 11- deep pulsing tweeky smooth dubstep w/ mc 12- shuffly soul jazz, oh yeah 13- out there sun ra jazz for the first minute, churns into a slow infectious polyrhytm & finally warbly jungle. 14- clickety clack crunk jazz of epic funk proportions. 15- blisswash, harp & bleepy bloops, film orchestra & a satellite maraca 16- trip hop diva with ping pong noises as a percussion 17- a conclusion in handclaps, bloops, & electronic genius | ||
