North Indian Classical Music played on the shehnai, a double
reed wind instrument close to the oboe family. It is played on
joyous occasions and is usually associated with Indian folk
music. Ustad Ali Ahmad Hussain has taken it from folk to
classical Indian ragas. Instrumentation, 3 shehnai, tabla,
sharmandal, and tampura . It is an interesting sound for a raga
instead of sitar. #1 my favorite
1: 21:10 real interesting sound, kicks into high gear with tabla towards the end.
2: 33:02 a bit slower, still a cool sound, higher gear at very end
3: 10:33 a shorter version just to hear the sound D  Farrell 08/2010
