MATT DARRIAU PARADOX TRIO: With Bojan Z. Felmay, 2010 WORLD JAZZ – Here’s a great set of postmodern jazz with a strong Balkan flavor. Darriau’s band of NY improvisers is joined by Bojan Zulfikarpašic, a like-minded French-Serbian pianist, and together they make music blending slippery melodies, bold improvisation and old-world percussion. Highly engaging music, unusual but not far out at all.
