Shadows In The Halls

The new-wave/electronica project of Nikki Never and Jer Haywood, two dashing whippersnappers from Canada. Nikki's vocals are emotional with subtle distortions to create a haunting atmosphere, and Jer's drums are simple yet powerful If you missed the 80's no worry--this stuff is better. Track 1 is killer. 2 is recommended as well.

*1. Dopestyle synth track with echoey seductive female vocals for a chilling effect. A great track. Like love at first sight.
*2. String-infused synth with dull drums. Retains her signature echoey singing style, but this time with a greater sense of urgency and slightly darker instrumentation. Nice piano elements.
3. FCC (fuck) A slower minimalist electronica piece.
4. A cover of a Twin Crystals song done in a darker, more minimalist way with pained vocals. Sounds like winter, with small flickers of static and long drawn out Casio notes.
