as reviewed by mr. esq. sad singer balled stuff/lo-fi beautiful stuff. acoustic git. chambery/churchy feel. overall, it sounds like gbv/pollard channeling nick drake. (note: oldham is ringleader of anomoanon) RIYL: nick drake, palace brothers, gbv/pollard/tobin, sebadoh. FCC CLEAN. SUGGESTIONS: ALL (esp. 1) 1. BEST TRACK: gorgeous. and so sad. the pollard feel is strong in vox. 2. sounds like jerry garcia singing. it's kinda like a sad dead tune. 3. country gits. harmonica kicks in. palace brothers. winsome. | ||
