Beautiful, glacial, ambient drone. German Shepherd has been lighting up the “X” territory of the a-file over the last year with appearances on a few compilations. This release expands on the three tracks he turned in for the Traveling record (ZK 936244). Sleepy, snowy, and dreamy, these songs feature minimal guitar tones and synths looped to infinity. This album is for reflection on top of an icecapped mountain range. For fans of The Fun Years, Gareth Hardwick, Eluvium, Stars of the Lid, Anticlock Records. No FCCs. Bliss out.

1. Sparse reverb guitar, looping, distant, minimalistic, sounds of vinyl. (9:11)
2. Chimey sounding electric keyboard or bells, almost a little playful. (3:37)
*3. Soft buzzing gives way to looping loveliness; fixates on single phrase for second half – hypnotic drone. (7:02)
*4. Ten minute Aidan Baker cycle of shimmery arpeggi looped to bliss and the some layers of subtly Asian-sounding synths seep in. (10:19)
5. Counteracting tempos of a watery, three-note keyboard drone juxtaposed with sustained gusts of one chord. (cuts off somewhat abruptly?) (6:00)
6. Bonus track, busier sampling for intro, develops into tense drone. At -6:25, weirdo, indecipherable robotic vocals come in. Changes up again to twangy Dead Flag Blues guitar and light bass rumble with vox to finish. Odd. (11:53)
