modern rock/alternanation/britpop
from britain. really damn good stuff that evokes the heyday of 90's britpop (w/some 80's mod rock&70's glam thrown in. plus a little of a glitchy/robot punk thing going on. =it's eclectic.)
one of the best albums to hit in the new year.
RIYL: pulp, blur, echo&bunnymen, simple minds, mighty lemon drops, ride, oasis, sponge, bowie, national, killers, franz ferdinand, parlovr, etc.

*2. industro drum begin; driving&fast ala killers, national. last min&half slows down into haunty soundscape.
*3. piano! =i like piano! (lovely.)
4. fast&quirky&jerky.
*5. this is bitchin'! processed vox. dark&ominous building. very mechanical&glitchy. ending=slowly undone&breaking down.
*6. FCC WARNING='FUCKING' : piano!..very pulpy. pulsing.
*7. NEXT BEST TRACK:dark&thuddy open-to-dreamy lullaby w/fem vox. COOEY! beautiful stuff.
8. FCC WARNING='FUCKING' (they like this word!) :glitchy toy pop. midtempo.

*10. NEXT TO NEXT BEST TRACK: piano!...saddy..it's got strings. haunty vox. mal&fem vox blended together to where it seems like it's the same voice. really fucking gorgeous. (sud end)
11. glitchy, jerky robot thing is back!=really fast&rocking ala devo, intelligence, don'ts, etc.
*12. FCC WARNING='FUCKING'(get another word, dudes): cathedral organ soundscape begin. mod rock blueprint for the rest. gets driving at mid point. dreamy passage (psst: this is a very long song.9+mins!) =this could go well on any bladerunnercore or indie cool kids show.
13. glitchy tech-o begin. voice delay chorus. very 80's. weakest track of the bunch -why end w/this?
