Strange stuff that would fit in an indie rock show as easily as a freaky psyche extravaganza: Twisted pop that sounds like it was derived from 1960’s Southeast Asian pop, mangled and manipulated with vocals layered over and given a sheen of syrupy madness. Funny thing is that the production sounds exactly like a cassette tape (hissy, low dynamics). Not sure how else to describe. Definitely some 60’s psyche strangeness happening, early Pink Floyd and Beatles-ripping-off-Pink Floyd, T Rex. Sounds like it could be on Death Bomb Arc records. Later songs ring of later Nikki Sudden fare. Highly recommended.
1) instrumental spaghetti western melodies and feel as if played through a casio in a Bankok bar in 1968
2) late 60’s psyche melody/flare, bouncy pop sentiment in versus with smarmy understated vocals
3) slower and dramatic, soaring epic melody
4) bongo drums, flute, acoustic guitar, the Manson family grooving out in the desert around a campfire, self references in lyrics
5) very early Pink Floyd’y with Ringo Star drumming, slower and trippy with cool sound undercurrents, instrumental
6) upbeat, a real pop song, T Rex comes to mind
7) Check out Nikkie Suddens later solo works cuz this smacks of it: acoustic psyche singer songwriter
8) similar to previous but slower more strummy
9) 12 bar boogie woogie piano fun
10) piano boogie continues, more stripped down though
11) strange noodly psyche lead guitars over a near silly soundbed
