Note: Only 07, 08 & 09 are FCC clean!
Neo-70s punk a la Rancid (but w/ an 80s hard rock touch—these Germans are a wee bit silly, party-oriented). Expect shouted vocals (w/ exceptions where noted), anthemic choruses w/ the whole band shouting, in your face guitars (although occasionally clean or twangy), picked distorted bass, straightforward, upbeat bashed drums. As a whole, the album gets a bit monotonous.
Best tracks: 02 (not clean), 07, 08
01 Scream And Shout (3:15): fits above description
02 Alright (Cos Nothing Is Alright) (3:35): tribal drums, very riffy, vox use affectation, is that a sitar? –this is a “safe harbor” hit!
03 Do You Wanna (3:37): starts w/ electronic drums, heavy bass, rung-out gtrs, a little more mid-tempo, but the choruses are rowdy
04 Under Pressure (3:01): more sitar, tribal drums, vox are deep/ resonate; slower stop/go versus, then typical rocking verse
05 Human Animals (3:24): staccato rhythm, very silly vox
06 Asshole In The Mirror (2:46): 3-chord verse, anthemic chorus
07 Stay On Holiday (2:51): 2-chord verse, anthemic chorus
08 Night Time (3:45): cowbell, funky bass, countryesque drums a la “Ballroom Blitz”
09 Cos We Are All Spiders Caught In Our Own Web (3:53): starts w/ clean gtr, vox w/ affectation this time a la Alice Cooper; driving chorus
10 Too Primitive For Intelligence (2:55): typical Chromatic BLaCK; lots of effects on the gtrs—very wet
11 No Reason (3:37): mid-tempo, riffy; all the sudden they’re political
