Modern classical with room for ensembles to improvise. Largely textural with some sections melodic. Three different ensembles play 3 parts of a single piece, each parts tracks flow into each other-can stand on their own or blend together

Part 1- textures with a little structure but no melodies. Works to set a mood though not this reviewers thing.
1.Squeaky, breathy, scratchy, pulls together to a violin melody in the middle then dissipates again
3. rainstick rattling, low horns howl, strings screech in scary ending
4.Cymbal crash, strings pronounce in controlled anger
5.disparate squaks, knocks, string chords, “Hey!”s
6.Staticy radio voice, high quiet violin scratches, accordion ramble, bleats. Loudens

Part 2- Builds to song structures
7.Low buzzes & scratches punctuated with high balloon-like screeches- lost in a jungle
+8.Violins mourn over jungle screeches. M recites Spanish poetry with feeling
+9.Creepy wordless vocals, then a funky beat & arty string piece
10. “Hey!”s in 1st half, 2nd half a slow consonant piece overtakes
+11.Mid-slow mariachi/Erricone-style piece
12. Scratchy/clicky, rhythmic pulses, disconcerting
+13.Minimal woodwind riff turns to (next track)
+14.big band & elec guitar loose interpretation of Take 5, falls apart

Part 3
+15.Pretty string melody, muted, impressionist
16.Faster, hi-hat keeps time under wind instruments playing long chords & getting louder
17.Bass drum debuts, wind instruments fret dissonantly, ends with water/ship sounds
18.water/ship sounds, longer wind pulses build
19.Strings join, low tones, quick high bits, electric bleeps over brushes
20.slow low electronic tones, jazz chords, mild
21.The chords continue, faster high wind instruments have something to say
