It’s soulful, funky and retro. It’s got that Motown feel. It’s a four-piece out of Indio, CA. It’s got a lo-fi sound, the vocals are a bit low in the mix. The songs leave you wanting a bit more, as they’re short songs. Great stuff. No FCC’s.

*My Favorites*: 2, 5, 6.

1. (1:44) Mid. Guitar intro. Funk holding back, just itchin’ to break out, but dang good anyhow.
2. *(2:43) Mid. Creedence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Proud Mary’ beat, rockin’ and soulful.
3. (3:54) Mid. Drum-driven, nice guitar work, cool keys.
4. (2:47) Mid. Really has that Motown vocal down. A bit spacey with the keys. Great beat. Stop / start phrasings.
5. *(2:46) Mid. Playful. Plodding beat. A real ’50’s feel.
6. *(1:48) Mid / Fast. Surf-ish, strong beat, vocal effects reminiscent of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins or Slim Harpo.
