One man cello “ensemble”: Local guy plays classic rock classics as interpreted on the cello. Sounds like it would be trite but its not! Maybe it has to do with the fact that these “classics” are the music that he grew up listening to in the 60’s and he is truly paying tribute to them (not “tribute” as in covering). Barry has had a long career since the 60’s, educated at the SF Conservatory and playing with McCartney, Ringo, and Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall in a tribute to George Harrison. He currently is a student of Ravi Shankar and tours with Ravi’s daughter. This guy is no slouch or bedroom hobbiest.

No track by track: check the track listings and check it out. I am partial the Jimi Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child (Chile)”.
