W.A. Mathieu inspired by their favorite Gary Snyder poems & translations of the 8th Century Chinese 'beat poet' Han Shan sung by contralto Karen Clark with baroque strings. The four-song cycle premiered on June 4, 2008 at Old First Concerts in San Francisco.
Beautiful string quartet and voice of Karen Clark. It might work well to read the poem before or after playing a track on the air. DÂ Farrell 08/2011
